What is Orthodontic Alignment?
Orthodontic treatment focuses on correcting misaligned teeth, spacing, crowding, and jaw bites. Straightening your arches does more than boost your appearance; it plays a critical role in your oral health. Crooked teeth are harder to clean, leading to higher decay risks, gum pockets, and joint strain in the jaw.
At ParadiseLife Dental, we offer classic high-durability metal brackets, aesthetic tooth-colored ceramic tracks, and modern clear aligners. Clear aligners use a sequence of custom medical-grade polymer trays that gently shift your teeth into position, offering a virtually invisible, comfortable, and removable alignment route.
Classic vs. Clear Systems
Metal braces provide heavy mechanical force for severe structural corrections, while clear aligners deliver maximum aesthetic comfort.
Oral Health Preservation
Straighter dental arches distribute biting force evenly, protecting joints and making routine brushing and flossing highly effective.
Who Needs Orthodontic Care?
Common structural issues that braces and clear aligner systems correct effectively.
Crooked or Rotated Teeth
Teeth that grow sideways or twisted, causing packing of foods and cleaning difficulties.
Crowded Arches
Not enough space in the jaw bone, leading to teeth overlapping and pushing each other out of line.
Spacing & Large Gaps
Aesthetic and functional gaps between teeth due to small teeth sizes or missing roots.
Bite Misalignments
Overbites (upper teeth overlapping lower), underbites (lower teeth protruding), and crossbites.
Orthodontic Treatment Options
We provide multiple tracks customized to your lifestyle, visual, and budget preferences.
Metal Braces
The most popular, durable orthodontic system using steel brackets and arches. Offers excellent control for severe misalignments.
Benefits: Highly reliable, budget-friendly.Ceramic Braces
Clear, tooth-colored ceramic brackets that run flush against enamel. A subtle alternative to traditional metallic train tracks.
Benefits: High aesthetics, comfortable margins.Self-Ligating Braces
Uses a specialized clip system to secure wires without rubber elastics. Speeds up teeth movement and requires fewer dental visits.
Benefits: Faster treatment, easier to clean.Clear Aligners
Clear, medical-grade plastic trays custom-milled to shift teeth. Fully removable for meals, brushing, and flossing.

Frequently Asked Questions
Find clinical answers to common questions about braces types, aligners, and monthly installments.
Are braces or aligner placements painful?
The bonding session is completely painless. You will feel a general pressure or dull tooth soreness for 3 to 5 days after braces are first placed or adjusted, or when changing to a new clear aligner tray. This resolves quickly.
How long does teeth alignment take?
On average, treatment takes between 12 to 18 months. Minor crowding or gap closures can be finished in 6 to 9 months, while complex bite anomalies may require up to 24 months.
Are clear aligners fully removable?
Yes. You remove them to eat, drink hot beverages, brush, and floss. However, for the alignment forces to work, they must be worn for at least 20 to 22 hours every single day.
Can adults get orthodontic treatment?
Absolutely. Teeth can be safely aligned at any age, provided your gum tissues and supporting alveolar bone are healthy. Adults often choose near-invisible clear aligners or ceramic braces.
How often will I need adjustment check-ups?
Traditional braces require tightening checks every 4 to 6 weeks. Clear aligner check-ups are spaced further apart, typically every 6 to 8 weeks, as we provide multiple tray sets in advance.
Which is better, traditional braces or clear aligners?
It depends on your clinical needs. Traditional braces are highly effective for severe bite adjustments or heavily rotated teeth. Clear aligners offer unmatched aesthetics, comfort, and ease of brushing for mild-to-moderate alignment cases.
What foods should I avoid with braces?
If you have traditional metal or ceramic brackets, avoid sticky foods (gums, caramels), hard foods (candies, nuts), and biting directly into whole apples or raw carrots. Clear aligners are removed for eating, meaning there are no food restrictions.
How do I clean and wash my aligners?
Rinse them with cool water and brush them gently with a soft toothbrush. Do not use warm or hot water, as high temperatures will warp the medical-grade plastic shape.
Will aligners affect my speech or sound?
You may experience a slight lisp for the first 2 or 3 days as your tongue adapts to the brackets or aligner surface. Speech returns to normal very quickly.
Will I need retainers after my treatment is finished?
Yes. Retainers are mandatory to prevent teeth from shifting back to their original misaligned positions. We provide comfortable fixed or clear removable retainers after braces are removed.
